VoIP Firewall

Due to the increasing use of VoIP technologies, behind the new opportunity in terms of functionalities, new risks and security holes came to the IT department attention. As for the email services, that after the big inital boom and the following uncontrolled spread required later a rush to make everyting safe and secure (virus, spamming,...), now for the VoIP thecnology it is the time to consider how to protect from frauds and intrusions.

This protocol is rich in terms of functionality and it is very flexible as it can be used for voice transmission, audio and video.

Some examples of aggressions that can be easily applied on the SIP business IP phone station: toll fraud, call disruption, call hijacking, call eavesdropping, call registration, and so on.

All these aggressions can't be stopped and checked with normal equipment as Firewall or Session Border Controllers, but they need high-specialized solution called SIP Controller.
