When making a secure phone call, there’s a latency in conversation. Is that normal?

The latency is normal, and it is connected to the use of the data line instead of the standard vocal line. Using data line is a mandatory condition in order to be able to send secure phone calls. Not only is it normal, but it’s also the right evidence of information security.

PrivateGSM VoIP: a delay  ("latency”) is due to the usage of Internet instead of the voice channel. It can vary from 0 to 2 seconds, depending on the way you use to connect. Using the Wi-Fi there is no latency, with GPRS it can reaches 2 seconds..

PrivateGSM CSD:  the latency is due to fax and data line used to make the secure call. A little latency is common, linked to the CSD thecnology.
