PrivateWave: experts in information security

Khamsa is an information security company based in Milan, Italy. The company specialises in developing applications to protect mobile communications under the new brand PrivateWave. The brand mission is to identify rising needs in the field of infomation security and to serve customers with premium solutions. In fact, reason to choose such a transparent name is to adopt an intuitive and easily recognizable brand dedicated to protect user's privacy on mobile platform.

Under the new brand PrivateWave, we aim to market PrivateGSM in two versions: one for Nokia/Symbian mobile phones, and the other for VoIP, currently under development. The aim is to foster customers’ privacy needs with simplicity of purchasing process, and to satisfy international quality standards.

We believe, the technological aspect of PrivateGSM software is the competitive edge of the company. The company focuses on growing strong both in Italy and overseas by expanding the product lines and covering a wide range of customers.

Khamsa is a company founded in 2005 with the purpose of renewing secure and protected communications market.

The development of the company started in synergy with the universities, Politecnico di Milano and the University of Italian Switzerland, that are located in the nearby area and had been engaged in developing technologies for privacy protection and information security in telecommunications.

In October 2009, the company became S.p.A. (joint stock company) with a considerable recapitalisation. Carlo Marchini, who has previously been manager of Google Enterprise Italia, became CEO of Khamsa.
